Instagram comment keywords: 100+ ideas by niche

"Comment LINK and I'll DM you" is the most copied line on Instagram for a reason. It works. But LINK is not always the best keyword. A word that names the thing, like RECIPE or WORKOUT, tells the fan what they are getting before they even comment.
This list has more than 100 comment keyword ideas for Indian creators, grouped by niche. Each one is ready to use in a comment-to-DM automation. After the list, you will find how to pick the right keyword for a Reel, Hinglish options, and the words to stay away from.
How to choose a comment keyword
- Name the reward. GUIDE, NOTES and PLAYLIST all say what arrives in the DM. Fans comment more when they know what they will get.
- Keep it to one word, two at most. Long phrases get typed wrong. "Send me the full diet chart" will not match if a fan writes "diet chart pls".
- Make it easy to spell. Skip words people misspell often. PRESET beats AESTHETIC.
- Make it rare in normal comments. If fans type it anyway ("nice", "wow", "love"), the automation fires for everyone.
- Watch for hidden matches. theZio looks for your keyword anywhere in the comment and ignores capitals. That catches "link pls" and "LINK!!", but it also means a very short keyword can fire inside a longer word. FIT appears inside "outfit", and PRO inside "product".
- Say it three times. In the caption, on screen in the Reel, and in your voiceover. "Comment RECIPE and I'll DM you the full recipe."
You can add several keywords to one automation. With per-keyword delivery in theZio, each keyword can even send its own product or link, so RECIPE and SHOPPING LIST on the same Reel deliver different things. For the full setup, read how to auto reply to comments.

Hinglish and regional keyword options
Many Indian fans do not type the exact English word you asked for. They write the way they talk. Add these as extra keywords next to your main one so their comments still match.
- bhejo (as in "link bhejo", "recipe bhejo")
- chahiye (as in "notes chahiye")
- batao (as in "price batao")
- kaise (as in "kaise banaye")
- kitne ka (price questions)
- sikhao (as in "ye sikhao")
- vidhi (recipe method in Hindi)
- khana (food)
- padhai (study)
- kapde (clothes)
Keep Hinglish keywords specific enough. "bhejo" alone will catch most send-me requests on that post, which is often what you want on a single Reel. On an automation that watches all your posts, pair it with the thing: "recipe bhejo" instead of just "bhejo".
Fans also misspell. Add common variants yourself (RECIPIE, RESEPI), or turn on smart match on Pro, which uses AI to catch typos and variations of your keyword.
Common words to avoid as keywords
These words show up in ordinary comments all the time. Use one as your keyword and the automation DMs people who never asked.
- Greetings: hi, hello, hey
- Reactions: nice, wow, love, cute, amazing, beautiful
- Answers: yes, no, ok, same
- Hindi fillers: haan, bhai, didi, mast
- Very short words that hide inside others: ok (inside "book"), fit (inside "outfit"), pro (inside "product"), art (inside "start")
Want every genuine comment on one post to get the DM, with no keyword at all? theZio's "any comment on this post" mode on Pro does that for one post and skips junk comments like emoji-only replies, tags and spam.

Frequently asked questions
What is the best keyword for comment-to-DM on Instagram?
The best keyword names what the fan gets, like RECIPE, NOTES or PRESET. It should be one short word that is easy to spell and rarely appears in normal comments. LINK works for anything, but a specific word usually tells fans more.
Can I use more than one keyword on the same Reel?
Yes. Add several keywords to one automation, such as RECIPE, recipe bhejo and a common misspelling. In theZio, each keyword can also deliver its own product or link with per-keyword delivery.
Do comment keywords have to be in capital letters?
No. theZio ignores capitals, so RECIPE, Recipe and recipe all match. Creators write keywords in capitals in captions only because they stand out on screen.
What if fans spell my keyword wrong?
Add the common misspellings as extra keywords yourself. On Pro, smart match uses AI to catch typos and variations of your keyword, so fans who write it slightly differently still get the DM.
Should my keyword be in Hindi or English?
Use the language your audience comments in. Many Indian creators pick an English keyword for the caption and add Hinglish variants like "bhejo" or "chahiye" as extra keywords so more fans match.
