Data Deletion

This page explains how to delete your data from Zio, including any data we obtained through Instagram and the Meta Platform. You can remove your data yourself in seconds, or ask us to delete it for you.

Option 1 - Disconnect Zio from Instagram (instant)

If you are a creator, the fastest way to stop all data collection is to revoke Zio’s access from your Instagram account:

• Open Instagram → Apps and Websites.
• Find Zio and tap Remove.

This immediately revokes our access token and stops any further collection or processing for your account.

Option 2 - Request full deletion (we do it for you)

To permanently delete the data we hold, email us from the address linked to your account (or include the Instagram username involved) and we will erase it:

• Email: hello@thezio.co with the subject “Data Deletion Request”.
• Tell us the Instagram username (creator or audience member) involved.

We will delete the associated data within 30 days and confirm by email once it is done. If you are an audience member who interacted with a creator’s post, you can use the same email to request deletion of records tied to your interactions.

What gets deleted

• Your Instagram user ID, username, and encrypted access token.
• Your keywords, reply text, and automation settings.
• Conversation and comment records, captured email addresses (if any), and related activity logs.

Some records may be retained briefly where required for security, fraud prevention, or to meet a legal obligation, and are then removed. We do not keep your data beyond what is needed for these purposes.
