What you can use it for

- Thanking every fan who shares you in their Story
- Collecting emails from Story replies for a launch
How to set it up
- Choose the source. In a new automation, pick Replies to my Story or Mentions me in a Story under When.
- Set the trigger. For replies, add a keyword, or tick Answer any reply to my Stories (Pro). Mentions need no keyword (Pro).
- Write the DM. Write the message and what they get, just like a comment automation, then Save.
Tips to get more from it
- Put the keyword on the Story itself with a text sticker: "Reply GUIDE".
- Use mentions to thank fans, it turns a share into a relationship.
Good to know
- One DM per fan per Story; one thank-you per fan per day for mentions.
- Emoji reactions to a Story are skipped.
- No public reply step (Stories have no comment thread).

Does it work on every Story?
Yes. A Story automation watches all your Stories, not one.
Is Story reply automation free?
Keyword Story replies work on every plan, including Free. Answering any reply and thanking fans who mention you in their Story need Pro.
Will a fan get the same DM twice from one Story?
No. A fan gets one DM per Story, and one thank-you a day for mentions, however many times they reply or share.
Do emoji reactions to my Story trigger a DM?
No. Emoji reactions are skipped. Only a typed reply (or a mention, on Pro) starts the automation.
Does a Story automation post a public reply?
No. Stories have no comment thread, so there is no public reply step. The DM goes into the chat the fan opened by replying.
