When Inro is the better pick
- AI sales conversations. Inro's AI Agent is reported to hold multi-turn DM chats, qualify leads and send booking or checkout links. theZio does not offer an AI that chats with fans in DMs on its plans today.
- More triggers. Inro reports Lives and ad leads as triggers alongside comments, Story replies and mentions. theZio starts from comments and Stories only.
- Campaigns and a CRM. Inro reports DM campaigns and a CRM with tags and segments. theZio has a contacts list with CSV export and no broadcasts.
- Pay for who you reach. Contact-based pricing means fans you answer by hand are not counted, which can suit accounts with a small but valuable audience.
When theZio fits better
- Rupee pricing. theZio Pro is ₹499 a month, billed in rupees through Razorpay. Inro is reported in euros, so your rupee cost moves with the exchange rate and your card may add a foreign transaction fee.
- A bigger free plan for comment-to-DM. theZio Free covers 1,000 auto DMs a month. Inro's free plan is reported at 100 active contacts and 3 automations.
- Old comments. theZio can answer comments that arrived before you switched an automation on: the last 24 hours on every plan, and all old comments on Pro.
- Private file delivery. Upload your PDF, ebook or preset once and every fan gets a private download link in the DM, never a public Drive link.
- Predictable Pro bill. theZio Pro has unlimited DMs at one price, so a viral Reel does not move you into a higher contact tier.
How to switch without double DMs
- List what is live on Inro. Note each post, keyword, the DM text and link, any Story automations, and export the contacts you have collected.
- Create a free theZio account and connect Instagram through Instagram Login. You need a professional (Business or Creator) account.
- Pause the Inro automation for one post. Two tools watching the same post would send a fan two DMs for one comment.
- Recreate it in theZio with the same post, keywords, DM and link. Add email capture, a file or the Ask For Follow invite if you want them.
- Test with a second Instagram account. Comment the keyword and check that exactly one DM arrives with the right link.
- Move the rest, Story automations included, then disconnect Inro from Instagram settings under apps and websites. Never leave both tools answering the same posts or Stories.
Frequently asked questions
Is theZio cheaper than Inro?
For most single-account Indian creators, yes. theZio Pro is ₹499 a month in rupees with unlimited DMs. Inro Pro is reported from €12.99 a month and rises with your active contacts, billed in euros. If you reach only a few hundred fans a month, compare both at today's exchange rate.
What is an active contact on Inro?
As reported from Inro's own pages, a contact becomes active the first time an automation, campaign, AI Agent reply, segmentation or enrichment touches it in a billing period. Replies you type by hand do not count. A viral Reel can raise your active contacts quickly.
Does theZio have an AI agent like Inro?
Not for DM chats. theZio's plans today do not include an AI that holds conversations with fans in DMs. On Pro, the Comment Agent writes short public replies under comments your keyword automations skip, following rules you write, and criticism always comes to you.
Can I collect emails on the free plan?
On theZio, yes: email capture in the DM is on every plan, with up to 1,000 contacts on Free. Inro reports email capture and a CRM, with 100 active contacts on its free plan.
Can I use Inro and theZio at the same time?
Yes, but never on the same post or Story. Meta allows one private reply per comment, so two tools on one post means a fan gets two DMs or one tool fails. Split your posts between them, or move one post at a time.
